SW Wales Field Trip with George Nash, June 2019 August 2, 2019

Just a quick email to thank you for the wonderful field trip with George Nash.

Great farm setting for the accommodation.

George gave an excellent overview of prehistory and in depth explanation about each site, including ones he was responsible for surveying or excavating.

George is clearly one of the best archaeologists of his generation combining both commercial and academic sides of archaeology and a true expert in prehistory.

He was also very diligent in ensuring all of the members of the group visited the sites safely.

Top marks and look forward to attending other field trips led by George.

I enjoyed Dahlila’s  Pulia trip  very much – it was  interesting  and very well organised, and the hotels were very good.    An excellent experience all round!   Many thanks for organising it.

Boston Tour, 25 – 31st May 2017 June 2, 2017

Now that I have returned from Boston, I just wanted to let you know what a lovely trip it was. The hotel was great, centrally located, and with all the amenities we needed. The breakfasts were good and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful. As always Jackie was an excellent leader, and I think we all really appreciated the effort she put in to making sure we all had an enjoyable trip! Looking forward to receiving the details about Chicago in due course.

Dordogne Ice Age Tour, 11 – 16 May 2017 May 25, 2017

Having just got back from Les Eyzies, I just wanted to say what a wonderful trip it was.  Stunning countryside and the sites we visited were magical.  Special mention for Barbara Noble who is a star assistant- and I think we all agreed that George Nash made the whole thing 100% more memorable.  He’s research active in the area, which added to the excitement, and extremely eloquent  interesting and informative on a huge range of topics and very happy to explain things to the novices of pre-history and rock art.    Hope he does more in the future.

Dordogne Ice Age Tour, 11 – 16 May 2017

This is just to let you know how much we enjoyed the ice Age Tour with George.   His enthusiasm is infectious!  We liked the hotel and the food was very good.   Everything ran smoothly and Barbara did a great job.  Thank you for organising everything and for forwarding George’s article.  Looking forward to the Jersey trip already!

Dordogne Ice Age Tour, 11 – 16 May 2017

Just a quick line to thank you for the attached pic and to say how much I enjoyed the Ice Age tour.  George is a really great tutor; I learnt so much!  And Barbara was an incredibly efficient assistant.  Both made it all so easy and make a great team!  So yes, please pencil me in for the Jersey trip in March 2018.

Segovia, Avila & Salamanca Nov 2014 November 27, 2014

I really enjoyed the trip to Spain and thought it was all very well organised. Mary was her usual wonderful self as leader, and Barbara did a terrific job as assistant.  Thank you for making such a good experience possible.

Cortona April 2014 June 11, 2014

As you know I went to Italy in April. It was a wonderful experience.  I’ve done a few study tours. This was the best.

What you should be congratulated on:  Pre-tour information

Itinerary: excellent

Mary Hawkins: a great guide. Informative, inclusive and open to suggestions from the group.

Hotel: magnificent.  Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten … A real compliment.

I will certainly think about doing another tour with you and have recommended you to various friends.

Please tell Daphne thank you for a fantastic day on Saturday, I found the whole day excellent. Daphne is brilliant at passing on her knowledge, her obvious enthusiasm for the paintings made everything all the more interesting. Apart from being a very informative day, it was also really enjoyable and fun, which I wasn’t necessarily expecting it to be. Please pass on a very large thank you. (25.02.14)
